Which plants grow fastest?
It won’t come as a surprise to many, and particularly those who have grown it, bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world. Thick rhizomes (underground plant stems) store energy produced by mature canes to give the emerging shoots an energy-rich, speedy start in life. Bamboo is recognized as the quickest plant to grow; some species grow up to four inches in a matter of days under ideal conditions.
What kind of plant has no roots?
Bryophytes have no roots, leaves or stems. Moss and liverworts belong to this group. Mosses are non-flowering plants which produce spores and have stems and leaves, but don’t have true roots. Mosses, and their cousins liverworts and hornworts, are classified as Bryophyta (bryophytes) in the plant kingdom.
