Remember, mosquitos are most active at dusk and dawn, so try do outside activities during the middle of the day when mosquitos are less likely to be out. Some species prefer being more active during the day while others prefer dusk or dawn to buzz around. Mosquitoes in the United States tend to have higher activity levels during the hours before sunset.
