What is a 23 tree?
In computer science, a 2–3 tree is a tree data structure, where every node with children (internal node) has either two children (2-node) and one data element or three children (3-node) and two data elements. A 2–3 tree is a B-tree of order 3. Such B-trees are often called 2-3-4 trees because their branching factor is always 2, 3, or 4. To guarantee a branching factor of 2 to 4, each internal node must store 1 to 3 keys. As with binary trees, we assume that the data associated with the key is stored with the key in the node.
How many types of trees are there in total?
Our results indicate that there are ∼73,000 tree species globally, among which ∼9,000 tree species are yet to be discovered. The total number of tree species on Earth is around 73,000, including roughly 9,000 not yet known to science.Forests take up about 30% of the Earth’s land area and are home to over 80% of the World’s terrestrial species. There are more than 60,000 tree species within these forests, and it is thought there are still many more to find. The earth’s first real tree continued to develop during the Devonian period and scientists think that tree was probably the extinct Archaeopteris.
