Which vegetable is the king of all vegetables?
Brinjal, also referred to as Bagan, is a popular vegetable in vegetarian type of dishes and non-vegetarian types of cuisine. The brinjal was given the title of King of Vegetables because of its astonishingly awesome purple covering, and also the juicy and rich nutritional values in them. There is no mention in Hindu scriptures of brinjal being prohibited or considered impure. In fact, brinjal is a common vegetable in Indian cuisine and is not considered taboo in any way.
What not to plant with carrots?
Your carrots will also do well when they share the space with leeks, radish, onions or other low growing plants such as parsley and lettuce. However, the carrots will not grow well when grown together with herbs such as dills and celery. Avoid herbs in the same piece of land as carrots. You should avoid planting onions near beans, peas, asparagus, and other alliums like garlic, as they compete for nutrients or stunt each other’s growth. Sage is also a poor neighbor, and while onions generally help brassicas, they can sometimes affect certain nightshades, so it’s best to keep them apart.I always recommend planting chives, garlic, onions, leeks, or shallots next to your carrots and leafy greens. The reason being, these members of the onion plant family have a strong scent that repels pests like aphids and carrot flies.
