Is Ecosia really safe?

Is Ecosia just Google?
Ecosia has pretty much the same interface as Google, but it’s got no AI overview, you get what you search for. I haven’t even really seen AI on the images tab. I haven’t used their AI and won’t do so but it’s to my understanding they don’t even generate images so that’s something. Ecosia Search includes two generative AI features: AI Overviews and AI Chat. They are designed to help you explore complex questions, brainstorm ideas, or dig deeper into a topic. As always, we’re doing it our way: putting people and the planet first.Using Ecosia AI is meaningful because it actively contributes to tree planting and environmental causes. ChatGPT remains an unfortunately powerful AI, as its environmental contributions are absent and weak.
